“Shrinking attention spans. Goldfish 8 seconds, Humans 7 seconds.” (Socialnomics 2017). This is not really shocking. We live in a society where everyone is busy and in a rush. We can order something with a click of a button and it is on our door stop the next day. If a website takes too long to load, people leave your site. If an email is too long, do you read it? If you are waiting for the train, standing in line at the store, everyone is on their phone. If a commercial comes on, people pick up their phone.
